Come spend your spring break with us! Join us for a variety of activities to learn about nature in a fun, family friendly way!
Birding Hike – Bring your fledglings and spotters for a short hike to learn more about our feathered friends!
Birds of Prey presentation – Friends of Texas Wildlife will be at the Nature Center to give a presentation on Birds of Prey. Visitors will also have a chance to interact with live animal ambassadors!
Adventure Hike – A 2+ mile hike through the roughest trails we have to offer. This hike will offer sights and experiences that have only been seen by a select few! Recommended for ages 10 and up.
Nature Photo Scavenger Hunt – Venture through the trails on a self-guided scavenger hunt to learn new things about nature and to find hidden treasures in the forest. Smart phone or digital camera required for activity.
All about Alligators – The Nature Center staff will give a presentation that is all about alligators! We will discuss characteristics, habitat, conservation, and much more. Visitors will also have a chance to interact with live animal ambassadors!
Family Fishing Camp – Come join in the fun at the family fishing camp. Learn how to setup a fishing pole, tie 2 fishing knots, fish ID, fish habitat, and more. Then put your skills to the test at the pond. Gear and bait will be provided by Fishing’s Future and the Nature Center staff. *Registration is required* *Space is limited* *Fishing license is required for all participants over the age of 17*
